As the wind off the sea picked up, the ever-candid star kicked off her thigh-high boots and borrowed a hair tie from a fan in between belting out lyrics to hits like “Press” and “Money”. So amped was the crowd after the performance that many poured into the lower level casino and clubs to party into the wee hours. While my husband tried his luck (and won!) at the casino’s Wheel of Fortune slot machine, I turned in early with a Bardi bounce in my step. Khaled has even bigger plans with the two artists next year. Ahead of the release of God Did, Khaled announced that Future and Lil Baby will be co-headlining the Days Of Summer Cruise 2023.

Further acts will be announced shortly, but when Khaled hosted his first at-sea fest in 2017, he brought along the likes of Future and Lil Wayne. Talk about that whole experience with DJ Khaled, I saw you met Jeezy and Fat Joe. I would say that, but it’s more a high school sweetheart. Because if you think about it, you have this person that you knew when you were 14. You had to go separate ways because you had to go to a different high school or a different university, or you had to leave the country. So you’re separated by somebody that you care for.
Festivals and big concert events are in full-swing for 2022 so far, and today another event has let fans know it will be moving forward next year. The Days Of Summer cruise fest has officially announced it will take place July 2-5 next year, featuring Lil Baby and Future as a headliner, with plenty more artists to be unveiled closer to the date. Fans on the cruise will board the cruise ship known as The Norwegian Sky in Miami and sail through Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay. You’re like, how would life be like if I was to reconnect with this high school sweetheart. Most recently, Naomi Achu unveiled her new single and visual for “Waiting All My Life.” She also recently spent some time in Miami, hanging out with DJ Khaled and a slew of other artists. The music industry is ever-changing, as are the genres. And while Hip-Hop has been the main topic of conversation this year, celebrating 50 years since its inception, we also want to pay homage to Afrobeats and the movement that’s come with it. The playlists, good reads and video interviews you need—delivered every week.
That said, shortly after returning to the ship, Post Malone‘s energetic afternoon set all but made up for the rush. In the evening Dej Loaf served as a somewhat subdued headliner, following after rapper Trick Daddy who happily transported the crowd back to the ’90s and early 2000s with songs like “Nann” and “I’m a Thug”. Though a late night Glow in the Dark party was circled on our itinerary, I decided instead to call it a night. I enjoyed performing, I performed right before Lil Baby too. Lil Baby came on an hour after, and just seeing the crowd vibe to Afrobeats. I performed my song “Pepper Them,” they really enjoyed it.
We disembarked early Monday morning and I found myself exhausted, but thoroughly entertained. Sure the non-stop live music by some of the biggest names in hip hop was great, but the folks we met throughout the weekend were nearly just as exciting. It turned out to be exactly what I thought I’d signed up for, if not so much more. Aside from hip hop performances, the cruise offered everything from Madden and Dominoes tournaments to a CÎROC Ultra-Premium Vodka mixology class and hip-hop workouts. Saturday morning I took advantage of the latter, a spin class with a muscular instructor named Eddie from Atlanta’s Gits Dis Work fitness.
Known as the ultimate hip hop cruise festival experience, this four-night cruise will offer non-stop hip hop entertainment while sailing to the Caribbean along with the industry’s greatest DJs. By morning on Sunday we’d arrived just off of Carnival’s private island Half Moon Cay. After grabbing breakfast at the buffet, we hopped aboard the ferry boat transporting people to the island.
The most important one for me actually was the foundation. He had an event for his foundation on Sunday, where he collaborated with the Circle of Brotherhood. There was a basketball court with We The Best foundation on it. To my understanding, the We The best foundation was to keep teenagers and kids busy.
Being an Afrobeat artist performing in a heavily Hip-Hop crowd was a little bit different, because usually my audiences are heavily Afrobeat and island. But this was heavily Hip-Hop andsome island, but they vibed to it.l They loved it, they enjoyed it. That was my favorite memory, apart from meeting and networking with some other great artists.
